Vango vista 800 review

I would suggest that you purchase better tent pegs, as the ones supplied buckled quite easily. It has its own built in groundsheet and 4 individual rooms that sleep 2 each, or a combination thereof. Plenty of living space in the centre of the tent, we had 6 adults sitting round a table, plus cooking stuff and we did not feel cramped.

It is light and airy as the centre panel of the tent roof is white. The TBS Tension Band System works in a fashion, sadly on our last outing it was quite windy, and one of the straps ripped away from the tent side, even though it was being used correctly. Plenty of living… Read Full Review. I found this vango vista 8 man tent easier to put up than the 4 man tent that I also own. It has plenty of living space and the access is easy with one tunnel entrance and another on the other side.

I am 6ft 3inches tall and although I can not stand upright in it the height didn't feel cramped at all. With a white roof the living space is not affected by colour of the sun coming through a coloured panel so being stuck inside on a rainy day is no problem.

Great tent. Would recommend… Read Full Review. Had dlx since ,survived boscastle ,storms in dartmoor and gale force 10 ,ignore minor leaks on the seams and your ok.

Vango Vista DLX is a great family tent. This was our first camping trip with the Vango and it proved a very good tent. We are a family of four with two young children and the tent proved to be a very good size.

Three bedrooms were used, with the fourth used as storage. Erection takes two but is fairly straightforward, just get the kids off playing to allow you to crack on. The living area is big we had chairs, cooker and table up with still loads of room.

Roll on France next year. Bargain… Read Full Review. No bad points. I am very pleased with the tent would recomend to anyone… Read Full Review. Excellent all round tent, but very disappointed with the multiple leaks may be just a one-off tent. Not very impressed! Big tent, especially if you can leave the front bedroom out.

I also got a carpet for it which really made a difference although was hard to track down! For anyone who is on the hunt for a carpet for it, the Vango tigris carpet is a perfect fit. Easy to pitch even for us first timers.

Its very easy to put up and down, it takes us about 15 minutes, the fly sheet can be tricky to get back into the bag, so make a note of how it comes out. Loads of room inside, especially if you take down the front bedroom the one against the large door and the removable partitions in the bed room are very handy. We only use one bedroom department as there is only the 3 of us so we have plenty of living space the only downside to this tent is that is quite a hassle to put up with only 2 people. We soon got used to it. Excellent tent ,would recommend 0 from 0 people found this review helpful, was it helpful to you? By: Marty Reason: I own ed one Made in: Rating: Having just started camping with our two young kids last year and not having considered the draw backs of not having a sewn in ground sheet we bought a Rage Alta 6.

Now altogether it was a good tent and afforded good stability and shelter in rough weather but was a bit draughty. This year we decided if we were going to go camping regularly we should really get something a bit better so we had a good look around and decided on a Vango Vista DLX. What a difference. Sewn in bath-tub groundsheet, storm flaps, three doors giving all sorts of options, little storage pods which are always full with all sorts of odds and ends!

Wind and rain for about 4 hours. Lay the outer section on the ground and stretch it out the way you want it to face once up. Once you have put all the poles together its quite easy but you do need 2 people to put it up. All you do is thread the poles which are colour coded through the outer colour coded pouches, you can't go wrong.

When we arrived it was quite windy so we fully guy roped it up, there's quite a lot of rope so ensure you have done them all. Once everything is secure you can start to put the bedrooms in, again all you do is thread the colour coded toggles through colour coded loops. The tent once fully errected is very big and takes a lot of space up so you need to choose a good area with plenty of room.

The Inside of the tent is very spacious, we only put 1 bedroom up because there were only 2 of us, the rest of the tent was used as storage area's and our kitchen, even with 5 0r 6 people I reckon you'll have ample space for everything.

It got very wet and windy at night and we were a little afraid the tent would come down but our fears were unfounded as the tent never leaked or moved an inch, I guess all the guy ropes did the trick. Only 1 downside and its to do with the packing once you manage to get the tent back home, we dried it out and cleaned it a bit but no matter how many attempts we had trying to get it back in the packing we couldn't do it, in the end we just folded it the best we could and left it.

I used it many times around the Yorkshire dales and Skegness. Twice for a weeks holiday with 8 of us the rest of the time with 4. I found it took around 20mins to up but I had the one without the sig and found the draughts at night a problem when sat with the family.

The tent stood up well to a thunder storm and also one night when it rained for 12hrs solid. The tension bar system once fastened down made it a firm, rigid and secure tent in high winds.
